Manic Street Preachers Postcards From A Young Man
Voto:
@vitols,pinkholler: often and willingly our issues stick to the music & vice-versa. In the specific case of the Manics, it’s even more fitting, because they convey more of a mood rather than making a finished musical statement, which is why I really don’t like them. Just my opinion. However, the review is really beautiful.

@alfredo: Maybe it's because when I got them I was expecting something different. Nice debut, (even if I don't hear the Pere Ubu, which is something that's being brandished left and right) the others often venture into industrial territory, where there's too many people who could overshadow Killing Joke. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying this :)

@azzo: I would say yes to the rem, (but in the '90s? then maybe not) but definitely not the qotsa, come on. The review is really nice.

well. I haven't heard that, on the one I had there was a spiral on the cover, something like that; hippie music. anyway, the review for me is a one, it's very much a "so what?".

I can't figure out whether I like them or not; the self-titled album from 2003 had some good things, but the sounds overall feel a bit plasticky. "Hosannas" is quite monotonous, (which at times paradoxically engages, and at other times bores) but the review still piqued my curiosity.
Stanley Kubrick Full Metal Jacket

I think the film is more universal, thematically, than just a denunciation of the Vietnam War. For me, it is a masterpiece.

Oh dear, I thought it was just a little earlier than Fargo.. I’ll watch this first and then "Crossroads of Death," one after the other.
