But is this live really that good? They’ve never said anything to me about it live...

That the Rem have almost thirty years of career is undoubted, but when it comes to the Stones’ nearly 50, we might be exaggerating a bit: it’s 45-46, no more!!

No Lewis!! Not Adams, but Graham Smith will play the violin in the Vdgg!!!

What a great comeback!! Guys, trust me: the machine that cried is something extraordinary! Chris Adams, at times, has a spine-chilling voice (Heartfeeder, Sold down the river..) and Graham Smith's violin creates great dramatic tension. A must-have!! Well done, Lewis!!

great review of a beautiful live album, definitely not on the same level as those from thirty years ago, but still a notch above the average of what’s being released today. Guys, the Generatore is the Generatore, there's not much to say...

As far as I know, Maroccolo will no longer tour with the band, so he is effectively an external musician to the group.

No, to say that "Harvest" is one of the least beautiful albums from Uncle Neil, no!!! I can't accept that!!! This record is too great; I find it the pinnacle of Neil along with "After the Gold Rush." Two albums that, in my opinion, are essential, but you can't treat me like this about "Harvest"!! Well, in the end, it's just "Words.....words.....between the lines of age..." :-))))))

I agree with Ktulu on including Area in a progressive context, because their music, although tinged with jazz and Eastern atmospheres, is heavily indebted to this genre. That they were extremely original in what they did is another discussion altogether. Regarding the "primacy" of Le Orme compared to other bands of the time, I have some doubts: a band like "Balletto di Bronzo" has been overlooked, let's not forget!! Personally, I prefer Pfm and Banco over Le Orme, although I acknowledge the greatness of this group, authors of at least two classics of the genre, but in the end, I think it comes down to taste. In the prog scene, we really have a great school that continues to gain followers, just look at Japan where Italian prog records continue to sell very well.

@Iside: excuse me, why do you write sound TREMENDOUSLY outdated? Every work needs to be framed and contextualized within the period in which it is composed, so it’s right for it to have the sound it does, which, in this case, also makes it wonderfully magical. Then I wonder: since I hear this phrase "the sound is now outdated..." from many, too many places (beyond this site, I mean...) quite often, is it possible that what we consider modern today will also be outdated? For me, the phrase "outdated sound" makes little sense. Iside, this is not a critique of you personally, but rather of the expression itself, which I have never understood.
