One day, a few years ago, my dear friend Fabio from Lecce, while teaching me something about metal and the like, mentioned the name of Voivod... I remember not being very fond of them, but for sure after this outstanding review I will give them a listen!

I find it obvious that the characters in The Simpsons have developed well over the seasons; we're talking about 18 SERIES! The context in which the series unfolds, besides the family, involves the entire citizenship of Springfield... I continue to argue that at a certain point it would be wise to cut (and in fact, I was hoping for a greater investment in Futurama, which the producers themselves did not want).

It's true, many times my sister would turn to me and ask... but in the latest seasons she understands a bit too much, maybe because kids today grow up too fast. My times were different, when the most we could see was Colpo grosso by sneaking a peek at the TV in front of Dad! I’m being honest, I haven’t always been able to interpret all the references to well-known characters in the States (but not here) in all these series, but obviously I’ve managed to catch the messages (I’m not that dumb, come on!). Extreme Griffins because they use fewer half-measures, does that work?

Talking about this film, I remember seeing it for the first time and giving it a passing score... then, by chance, I watched it again and liked it much more... in my opinion, it deserves it.

The early seasons of The Simpsons were quite different, in terms of image quality (poor) and content (sometimes extreme even in terms of language); younger viewers obviously can’t remember that. However, I agree with those who find the latest seasons somewhat repetitive and bland; even my 10-year-old sister watches them without needing any censorship... I don’t think Family Guy has much in common with them! Different style, perhaps vulgar at times but definitely more extreme. South Park goes even further. The protagonists are supposedly the four kids, but in reality, it clearly and unfiltered presents the world view of the show's creators. In my personal assessment: The Simpsons for kids (I can no longer keep up with them), Family Guy for perverts, and South Park for extremists. A separate chapter is Futurama, which has always seemed much more nuanced in conveying its messages related to our present but still has an eye (Leela's eye? hehe) also looking toward the future of humanity... I was really saddened when the series ended!
