I'm sure I saw it, yet I don't remember it! Is it because it's not one of those films that leaves a mark..? There are a bit too many repetitive films and books that act as a telescope on the current society (from 10 years ago until now), but what alternatives do they propose as ways out? Has the same concept of "social critique" become so stereotyped? I really like Mastandrea as an actor; it's a pity he's become a bit "soft".. In my opinion, they could have avoided talking too much about the plot.

The prolixity of your theses is undoubtedly a testimony to the anger you harbor towards the film (which I specifically chose not to watch at the time because the critics deemed it unworthy of Benigni). I have a vague memory of the 70s Pinocchio being re-broadcast in the afternoon for us kids in the 80s FROM RAI! (let alone some of today’s pathetic cartoons FROM MEDIASET..)

Dear Micia, the story is inspired by a true story (of course, revamped to the nth degree!). Kudos to Muccino for finding a place to make some money, or rather, where they're making him produce his mer(d)avillous works. Willy Smith alone is worth a pass.
