Marco Bellocchio Sbatti il mostro in prima pagina

I respect De Lorenzo's opinions, but honestly, I do not share them, that's all. The reason: I want to look ahead, even if I should make mistakes in my conclusions like Pasolini did. I will repeat infinitely: concepts like right and left seem DEAD to me; in fact, by saying such a thing I place myself on De Lorenzo's side. Or even Grillo's. Then, if I've read correctly the discussions about Minzolini, MarinaB, and Craxi, I simply say that everyone can "shoot" their own cartridges. On this front, I conclude by saying that I don't understand how one can label the movements of Di Pietro and especially Vendola as characterized by a "charismatic power and a magical, thaumaturgical, 'narrative' thought, and the son of a non-problematic thinking that feeds on the commonplaces and easy answers produced by mass(a)-media (TV, tabloid journalism, internet)." The former seems to simply recall what is written in the Constitution (even though I imagine that with a less caricatured Di Pietro, the movement would have more following...); the latter, I believe, carries purely values that could finally overturn the concept of true "good government" (I just regret that initial ESSE..). PS about Vendola: too often he seems to be declared an emerging force, but when looked at proportionally, I don't think he has the right space, so anyone in his position is quite right to create their own spaces online. But perhaps I am biased with these discussions. I find the review sufficiently interesting; it makes me want to see the film. By the way: on a late Milanese afternoon with my father in Piazza San Babila, we met La Russa. He was still with AN, and he didn’t have any bodyguards around him but bureaucrats he was talking to. My father said to him, "But did you know that from the images on TV I thought you were taller?" and he, driven by his jovial spirit, stood up right on the edge of the fountain and said, wide-eyed, "Did you see that this way I've surpassed you in height?" Just to say, IF I WANT, I CAN DO ANYTHING...

It's honestly true that this isn't an absolute masterpiece. But if you want, Sabinide, I'll try to give you a simple answer to your initial question. I went to the cinema with my brother and his girlfriend; she devours books for breakfast, and she had devoured this one in three days as soon as she found out that the grand directors were inspired by it to (re)make a film. But honestly, who cared about the original with Wayne? I imagine NOBODY :-) However, it's true that the Coen brothers always manage to add something extra even to a "simple" plot: in this case, the cinematography—I found it at times stunning. Then there's Bridges' performance, which I think truly makes a difference. Anyway, from time to time I was being updated in real time on the differences from the original text :-P

I correct myself, I'm a bit in a hurry! "I put the last 5 in the review..." and "I wouldn't often give a 3 to simply simple products..." I hope it's understood!

@TEENAGELOBOTOMY: I enjoy reading good reviews when I already know the "product," but don’t worry. In this regard, the last 5 I gave was to a film review that probably too few people have watched: "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days." And it wasn't that long ago ;-) Conversely, I admit to a laziness when it comes to venturing into reading about unknown "products" (I wasn’t always like this), especially in the musical realm. Come on, I’m trying to get back into it; bit by bit, I’ll return to being the judge I used to be :-) P.S. Honestly, I would prefer to express ratings in tenths, because I often give a 3 to products that are more than just sufficient; conversely, there are many 4s that for me lean towards 5, where there's always a "but..." or "however..."; in short: how complicated I am! The beauty of expressing a judgment :-D

I consider it a stunning film. STOP. Oscar or no Oscar, we know very well who the greats of the past are! Don’t touch my Al Pacino.
