Mr. De Lorenzo, as has happened in the past, I find myself sharing a number of viewpoints with you. Not by chance, the book was chosen for me by a peer who adored Miglio at the time (and perhaps it was also by listening to him that he became an active member of the Lega Nord at not even 16 years old). The underlying reply: I AM A CONVINCED FEDERALIST. However.. 1) I am NOT AT ALL regionalist; more coherence, fewer regions, a product of the most perverse imagination of the last 50 years. 2) I do not find it easy to imagine today the application of a credible federalist model. Unfortunately, it seems too early; we are going through a moment, both nationally and internationally, that is too fragmented. 3) LET IT BE CLEAR: WHAT THE GOVERNMENT PROPOSES TODAY AS FEDERALISM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I IMAGINE! I try to imagine a series of issues: how would the federal units best act even just in the field of school education? TEACHING DIALECTS!? But everyone knows that dialects change from town to town, even just 5 kilometers apart! °_° And what about the teaching of religion? Wouldn’t it be time to remove crucifixes and teach RELIGIONS? (a provocation that isn’t really relevant). But above all, it seems to me that there is almost no correct culture to understand if and how to remain a unified state! In this regard, it brings to mind, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary, the behavior of the province of Bolzano. I would conclude by pointing out that I do not think your citation of Lombardo in Sicily holds up! Unfortunately, in those places, defined by the same Miglio as "screwed by the unity of Italy," the flags fly from side to side with the first breath of wind... It was apt, however, to cite areas like the Parmense and the Reggiano, where the votes for the Lega have objectively been drawn over the years from the left (but the festivals of unity seem to survive, while where I am in the Brianzolo, it is not the case!)

For a few months now, I’ve had a book to read, a gift for my last birthday. I haven’t had the time to read it; my Calabrian cousin used it as inspiration for his thesis instead. Who chose it as a gift for me? My friend "leghista at heart and in spirit," who, however, had to give up asserting it in the field, seeing who would continue to support. I have an idea of the claims made and, essentially, I already knew many of the "episodes" cited. A note on the concluding part of the review: "Isn't it a coincidence that many of the League's leaders had youthful backgrounds in the left and that most of the League's electorate in the North consists of workers and small business owners with VAT numbers, or even immigrants or their children and grandchildren, internalizing the mental frameworks of veteran communism towards different objectives, such as secession or independence of one part of the country from the other? The framework is therefore not ethnic - as the book by Aprile would suggest - but essentially ideological." I honestly have NEVER known League voters from the southern part of the peninsula! Or they hide very well, who knows?

I really like the review; it perfectly reflects the spirit of the film, which is: "you're too a serious man, learn to take it easy!" The exact same thing happens in those incredibly useful first 5 minutes: a good man "by chance" is helped by another to fix his cart (I’m not quite clear on the era!), he takes him home for some warm soup, but how does the wife act? I have a lot to say, but I’ll stop here, just saying that happiness isn’t infinite, and when everything seems to be in place... The Coen brothers always know what they're doing; it's not a masterpiece in the absolute sense, but it's an excellent piece of work! PLEASE LEARN WATCHING THIS KIND OF MOVIES IN ITS ORIGINAL LANGUAGE! I hope I don't embarrass myself :-P

Stunning. Nicholson is one of a kind, and even more so the plot that encourages one to read the book.

Review forbidden to those who haven't seen the film, references to almost unspeakable scenes. FILM HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE TO WATCH!!!

Listening, listening... I would say that in "Messa a moto" you can feel the connection with the legendary Pino Scotto (see "Gli arbitri ti picchiano"). "La ghigliottina" really kicks off with a Muse-style rhythm, and the nod to the Knights of Cydonia fits perfectly, speeding along at a thousand miles an hour (also check out the original video!). I still have to figure out where I think I hear something reminiscent of Depeche Mode, but I might be mistaken ;-)

Honest opinion: I would never have reviewed an album like this track by track. Not only because it has a good number of tracks, but especially for the content, some more deserving of emphasis than others. Nevertheless, for some good observations, I think it deserves a passing grade from me. I listen to the album repeatedly... I thought it would be really hard to surpass the last one, yet CapaRezza has managed to bring new musical ideas to his productions. And above all, he has openly exposed himself against the Catholic Church. I also appreciate his honesty in being able to admit that he has a "nasal voice" or that he "can contradict himself" (but, be careful, to appear exactly normal in this way) :-)

Here it truly means for Faber what God in heaven would represent. An avowed atheist who speaks of Him dedicating a song to a friend who ended up in heaven as a (presumed) suicide. It moves me and makes me reflect every time I listen, truly touching.

@Geeno: the economic imbalance has nothing to do with the "land of toys" we were in the times of Craxi, right? I only refer to the stories of my father etc.. Some things today we can only dream of (I was too young and the only thing I remember from that era is the sidewalks filled with syringes). As for the rest, you're right: it's not true that the majority of Italians support MrB. Rather, they avoid voting (so many of my friends simply don't care, saying "it won't change anything anyway!") or they vote against the mess on the other side. But once a pope dies, another one is made; at least that consoles me... or disturbs me °_°
