Here it is, this is made very well, certainly better than the one about the first Korn, CUNTGRINDER I recommend you always write like this, it's not a 5 because I don't see the adjectives "brutal" and "death" fitting very well with Dimmu Borgir, but the rest is fine! I've always considered Dimmu Borgir better than Cradle Of Filth, but besides some Satyricon, black metal doesn't excite me much, it's a nice album then!

There is a bit of hardcore in Corpse, that’s true! But just a little, what Corpse does is classy brutal death!

I didn't call the Incubus idiots! The first ones were tough, the last ones are just catchy and that's it!

Indeed, I generalized a bit too much, but just take away the Linkin Park and the last Incubus, right? For the rest, I completely agree with you, CoolOras: NU Metal is not synonymous with RAP Metal! And another 5 for this masterpiece!

This is also true, CoolOras, but it's obvious that we need to set some limits, some boundaries. I've heard people who think Nickelback is nu metal, you know what I mean? It's a trend that's spreading; people get things mixed up. So when I hear someone like CUNTGRINDER telling me that those who invented nu metal aren't nu metal, it really pisses me off!

Another thing, Iron Maiden are now HISTORY of music in general; for them, there can be no distinctions of genre because they are and will be IMMORTAL even when Bruce, Steve, Janick, Nicko, Adrian, and Dave (and I’ll include Di'Anno and Blaze because they were part of this story) are gone. The notes of "Run To The Hills" or "Fear Of The Dark" or any other masterpiece by the Maidens will remain as a testament to the importance of a band that has become a legend without ever having disbanded (unlike Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Beatles)!

Cuntgrinder, I’ve read your other reviews and I think you’re not bad at reviewing, so perhaps I was wrong in my assessment, that’s why I’m giving it a 4 to adjust. But I believe you’re completely wrong. I apologize for saying this, but you and the rest of the world think that nu metal is just the combination of three words: commercial + rap + fake metal. Well, I think nu metal is an important genre created by Korn. Sure, there are bad copies like POD or Papa Roach, but I would completely exclude them from nu metal, as well as many others: the latest Incubus, Linkin Park, Deadsy, and so many other idiots who don’t come close at all to the sound of Jonathan and company. Perhaps the only similarities are with Deftones, Slipknot, and (partly for the more hip hop-style passages) Limp Bizkit. That’s all. I think differently from the world; for me, Linkin Park are not nu, but the 'Knot or Soulfly or Dry Kill Logic, and they learned from Korn. Moreover, I’ve practically worn out their albums from listening to them; I think I know them well! Slayer? Some riffs are very close to those of Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman. Maybe you have a point, it’s not immediately noticeable, but in the background, Tom and company are there along with Max Cavalera and that genius Dimebag Darrell! And then excuse me... Rammstein nu metal? Come on, I’ll give you the same argument as before: just like POD are a bad copy of Korn, Rammstein are a copy of Ministry (industrial metal and NOT nu metal), though a pretty decent one! I’d like to remind you that Biohazard is also a form of crossover because they are not just HARDCORE; it’s all there: funk, rap, hardcore, punk, and metal! And I also want to remind you that System Of A Down do NOT make NU METAL, damn it! Why do I have to repeat these things a hundred thousand times? SOAD became famous when Korn and Deftones were already raging, and that’s when they were slapped with the nu metal label, but they are not. Their sound is a mix of pseudo-metal, pop rock, ska, and folk that has nothing to do with nu metal. If we put SOAD in nu metal, then everyone belongs there, damn it! Tomorrow we’re going to say that Deicide are nu, okay? Or Cannibal Corpse? Not to mention those perfect nu metallers Helloween! Please... I reiterate that the score for the CD is fabulous!

Clearly, you have very confused ideas! First of all, because you didn’t review the album well; the track by track is awful. Secondly, if it's not nu metal, then what is it? Dance? Folk? Neapolitan Pop? No, it’s simply the masterpiece of the band and the masterpiece of the nu metal genre, the TRUE nu metal, not that of Linkin Park or SOAD! Nu metal was invented by Korn, who were in some ways preceded by Faith No More and Rage Against The Machine, but the true innovators were them: hip-hop rhythms like Cypress Hill, sharp riffs like Sepultura/Pantera/Slayer, and vocals ranging from new wave to growl to melodic grunge—that’s what the first album by Korn is! It's something magical and unrepeatable! And then… what’s wrong with "Take A Look In The Mirror"? It's aggressive and powerful, one of the best in the discography alongside "Issues" and "Life Is Peachy" and obviously this one! Furthermore, I don't think you know what hardcore is, if in the end you label it alternative/hardcore… the (de)genres to assign to this wonderful album are 3: Crossover, Metal, and Nu Metal! I think I’ve said it all!
