Papa Roach Potatoes For Christmas

I'm going a bit off-topic here to wrap up my thoughts. A band, in my opinion, should be judged largely based on their live performances. Having seen them recently (great review you did, Trofeo), I realized that these are people who play well, with a lot of passion and a desire to convey what they have inside. This is no small feat, especially in these times when, apart from Gods (and only in some cases), you see more and more groups on stage because they feel they have to be there.

Let’s meet halfway, because rereading it I realized you deserve more ;)

Thank you Trofeo, too kind! Surfer, I believe a minimum level of openness is required to judge the image a band presents, especially when placing it within its context of belonging. You might not like (as I don't) the way they present themselves, even today. But in the end, we're talking about music. It's okay if you think they suck, I can't contest that. However, even though you logically might not, I would invite you to listen to them more attentively: their sound is fresh and vibrant like few others. A nice dose of positive energy.

Well, as already mentioned for Siouxsie, the Cocteau Twins haven't missed a single album in my opinion. The material in question is WON DER FUL. Beautiful review.

Well-made record, but honestly the album isn't really beautiful. As you say, you can tell there's talent, and for this, it deserves three stars. For those who have said, say, and will say that they are fake alternatives... remember that they are Americans, and the concept of "alternative" is not felt in the same way as we do. Papa Roach are just like that, adolescents who throw all their raw anger and energy into a little disc like this one, but now, a bit older, they have been able to produce an album like "The Paramour Sessions" – as commercial as you want, but for me, it has all the power of the '80s combined with that of our days. And I really like it. If Bon Jovi or Motley Crue made serious music today, they would probably sound like this.

Wonderful album, although I have to say that for me Siouxsie hasn't missed a beat. Reception is okay.

Nice, raw album, not a top-tier one. For me, this is also a noteworthy band in the black metal scene. Good review.

I agree with the outraged.

I agree with Pietro except for the vote on the rece, which is too filled with jargon that doesn't convey the idea at all. The beauty of an album like this is that it can be rationalized very simply, without showing off such a great deal of blah blah blah.

If two reviews are enough to get under your skin, then I guess I must be a human case :D There wasn’t any forced spite at all costs, but I briefly explained the reasons for the lower ratings. Is it possible to disagree? However, as you can see, when it comes to stating that things are done well, I say it without any issues ;) And generally speaking, if I gave you those ratings and criticized some aspects of other reviews, it’s because, given your skills, I expected more from you on certain albums. You took my criticisms as personal attacks; you would have been better off seeing them as prompts to understand the reasons behind the low scores. And I’ll tell you more, even when I don’t agree with you, your reviews, as they are written, are always at least a 4, but I rated them lower for the reasons I mentioned earlier. It’s my personal opinion; feel free to interpret it as you wish. Regards.
