Thank you again, everyone. I would like to say, in a completely friendly way, something to Caravan. Let me preface this by saying that I can definitely say silly things, eh! So, if you give me a technically fitting definition for this type of flute as "lounge," I just have to take note and start to understand it a bit more. Otherwise, I believe that for such Latin music, an English term already feels out of place, let alone "lounge" as I understand it from a contemporary common perspective. Regarding the issue of high bourgeoisie, this is how I see it: down there, the uneducated masses make up 90% of the population. The rest, as a matter of fact, are extremely wealthy rich people who divide everything among themselves. Within this group, there are fierce conservatives and enlightened progressives (the word progresso on the Brazilian flag says it all). In my opinion, bossa nova was primarily aimed at the latter, who could understand it better. It’s very different and more evolved in lyrics compared to the musical productions from the Salvador de Bahia area, where, from what I understand, they focus on sambas and music with a clear Afro heritage. I hope to be proven wrong at this point. Best regards.

I included the introduction to convey how this music fits into its natural habitat. I do enjoy elaborating, that is true, but I believed that where descriptive skill might fall short, the atmosphere could take over. Surely, I didn't write this review to show off! I believe that certain sounds should be rendered in relation to their contexts, filtered through the eyes of a curious Italian.
