Steve Hackett Wild Orchids
Voto:
review made with love but with a few ideas I don’t fully agree with, although they are trivial...
I believe I am ā€œtheā€ Hackett fan in Italy (forgive the presumption) because I love him artistically in a visceral way. His solo career is worth at least double that of Genesis (at least in terms of coherence and artistic experimentation). Wild Orchids captures you to the point of emotion, and you really don’t know whether the beauty of the pieces or the incredible skill of this guitar wizard makes you "orgasm" more (by the way, metal guitar fans who are all smoke and no fire, did you know that finger tapping was invented by Steve?)
Steve Hackett, a genius and truly special person, and I say this with knowledge of the facts having practically hooked him during a sound check of one of his concerts in Rome and having tested his nobility and availability. I will review many of his records here, I adore him.

And what about the cover that, when opened (vinyl), revealed 4 puppets depicting the magical tull springing to life? Ah! A symbol of that creativity and imagination that only those fantastic years knew how to bestow upon rock.
Jethro Tull Broadsword And The Beast
Voto:
A brief and essential review, not inaccurate but rather cold... for an album that had and still has the merit of continuing a valid musical discourse even after more than twenty years since the monuments to creativity that were the first albums. Furthermore, one thing this review lacks is the emphasis on how the Broadsword tour marked the magical band's return to Italy after 9 years... and I believe this should not be overlooked.

the commentary on an absolute masterpiece reduced to its bare essentials... the Sistine Chapel explained by the custodian of the Vatican Museums

I found this site almost by chance and immediately I'm bugging you....taab is an absolute masterpiece, far from the pompous excesses of certain prog albums as the reviewer rightly points out. Incredible musicians and pure genius. Ian has met Satan, I'm sure of it... too creative. bye bye
