I think doom is an interesting genre. However, the classic one (like My Dying Bride) is too calm and classy to provoke beastly emotions in me, while for funeral doom I only know My Shameful, and they seemed boring to me, but I don't think they're a beautiful band. It's not a matter of slowed-down tempos; I love Nortt and similar bands that go extremely slow. Perhaps I find doom a bit too mediated, not very rough, somewhat restrained...
