Skepticism Farmakon

I've been listening to some doom lately. Among all the doom sounds, funeral is the one I just can't grasp; it lacks the poetry of doom-death, the metal edge of '80s doom, the extremism of drone...I just don't get it: I can only appreciate it when there's a philosophy behind it, like in nortt; otherwise, it seems a bit sterile to me. I don't know skepticism: are they similar to the tyranny of Black Vistae?

great review, great group, great commentator.

Great review, although you should step away from the track-by-track approach, which doesn't work very well with already-known albums. You had the good taste to acknowledge that many questionable statements are personal, but I’d like to point out that there are many bands that have made better use of keyboards; just take the trolls... strangely, this doesn't even sound like a Satyricon album, lacking all the tacky, similar-kitsch elements of the subsequent productions. Well done.

thank you tepes; well, yes, the silencers are something else; in fact, I didn't vote for this one, I leave the judgment to those who will listen to it, forming their own opinion, while death pierce me is objectively a great album.

Thank you memento; yes, I believe it’s my best as well; it also depends on the album I’m reviewing, sometimes they are more like simple mentions, but every now and then I get involved. Yes, I would say you need to listen to this album, because in the other two the vocals are more conventional, more straightforward. Bye.

Yes, what you advised me; I downloaded quietus, I liked it a lot; I'll wait to write something when I also have that new one, a caress of the void, from what I've heard it will be very beautiful.

great band; I only have the second one, it's a really nice album. They've combined these "spatial" components with a stretched sound of a depressive nature, creating something original.
