Nattefrost Blood And Vomit

fallen, I don't see anything intimate in Gorgoroth, anyway not like a character who manages to dedicate a concept to the rain; galakordi: whether or not you like the album is a matter of personal taste, but the riffs are pathetic, so simple that they make Vikerness seem like a graduate in composition from the conservatory! I don't know, I repeat, there's a big difference between the humor of Carcass and that of Nattefros, and the hotness of Satan is proof of that!

for fallen: yes, I understand you, but you and I have two different visions of black metal, which correspond to the two souls of the genre: the introspective one (Burzum, depressive, Nargaroth, folk-black, etc.) and the "rock" one, where black is a conceptual heaviness derived from the 80s metal. That’s why I consider the musicians of the second category, like Gorgoroth or Immortal or Mayhem, to be good artists, but I can’t say that they are "true" or authentic, because in the worst case, they are just more extreme metallers, and in the best case, they are just posers like Euronymous. This rock side has a somewhat superficial idea of what "true" is, similar to how rappers idolize the "gangsta." Nevertheless, it's a matter of taste (I considerably prefer the existential solitude of the first category), but it seems undeniable to me—this was the first point—that the second category (the "rock" one) more often veers into the ridiculous compared to the other (some more, like Dark Funeral; some less, like Gorgoroth). Amen! (perhaps a bit out of place)

I quote golakordi, but we are still talking about nattefrost, not the carpathian forest; they stopped being great the moment Nordavind left the band, in favor of the visceral and instinctive "talent" of nattefrost: so we are talking about a pretty stupid way of doing satire (which would also be desirable in the black metal field), reduced as it is to burps, flows, and retches; even when he writes the lyrics they turn out to be obscene. JUST AS A PSYCHIATRIST SHOULD NOT WRITE LIKE A MADMAN TO TALK ABOUT A MADMAN, SO TO SATIRIZE THOSE WHO ARE STUPID, ONE SHOULD NOT EXPRESS ONESELF AS THEY DO. If you want to witness the album, I can’t blame you; I, too, was curious about the level of bestiality: now I know. Goodbye.

Great, I don't even have an idea of how a noise record sounds, but it seems to me that among the clarifications, the historical references, and the description itself, nothing is out of place. Then again, the record might not even exist for all I know, but anyway, great.

For psychopompe: it's a fact that many in metal lack irony, but it's certainly not a smile one can have on their face after spending 15 euros on a record where a guy vomits, pisses, and deliberately plays badly for 40 minutes! There's a difference between lightening seriousness with irony and tricking the listener with one's disgusting attempts at being a poorly executed clown (since you mentioned them, Carcass are pioneers of a humor that's much subtler and more intelligent...)

So: for fallen: maybe the gorgoroth will be convinced, but they are also rapists and bandits of the worst kind (if we consider that musically they’re not exactly geniuses..); dark funeral have attitude but the singer is so convinced that he stabbed himself in the thigh while drunk (okay, conviction is one thing, but there’s a limit to everything); tsjuder are excellent musically, but with titles like "kill for satan" I honestly can’t include them in the roster of thinkers; let’s not even talk about enthroned... sure, they’re not all the same, but their buffoonery, whether private or public, levels them out.

Hi fallen, well on a musical level I would save them all (with particular mention for tsjuder), but on an image level they don’t seem to represent an effort towards the intellectualization of the genre. I wrote a review on the latest by forgottentomb, check it out..
