Hi dark; I give it a 5 but with two notes: first, this record (along with "ligfaerd" by Nortt and "suicide" by Xasthur) is one of my three favorites, so sooner or later I will review it as well, since I love it dearly; second, I believe it’s a masterpiece, stylistically and for certain historical reasons that position it as the very first true depressive album, long before Shining and the like. For me, Wolz is German.

dear STIPE: this kind of music has nothing to do with metal (nor is it a stylistic evolution, nor an extreme form): black and its derivatives relate to metal as EBM relates to disco: different audiences, different cultures, different ages (generally). you start by embracing metal in your youth, and often, having moved on to extreme metal, you listen to the "classic" as a reminiscence of days gone by more than for a mental affinity (at least in my case): it's more likely that someone who listens to black also appreciates neo-folk, dark, techno... goodbye
