Marilyn Manson Eat Me, Drink Me.

one of the most important chapters of the '90s has unfortunately been lost; it could have withdrawn after mechanical in a coherent way, but it missed the opportunity. Look, it's him Marilyn Manson, not Omega!

the initial controversy makes no sense; we used to tear you apart before, and we will do it again: you say even less than usual! you really don’t want to know anything about the texts, do you?

Well, I can see the charisma at a compositional level, even though, not having composed much, it's hard to say. As for the human level, I can't confirm it; I wasn't there, but many say so, even those who would later criticize him. Honestly, I don't know how much the sayricon are a "committed" band; look where they ended up, and even back then they were pretty kitschy...

I just visited Florence: you have a beautiful library. (It has nothing to do with it, I know)

it wasn't an offense to point out the loopholes of those groups: everyone has them. I'm the first admirer of Arcturus, and especially of that album, but it's clear that in different circumstances you can find moments where the inspiration is balanced by other ideas. everyone does it.

However, the tracks were never re-recorded, Hellhammer said it too. Responding to punkisdead: the issue is complex: until he went to prison, he was never a sympathizer of Nazism, nor racist (did you know he was in Iraq as a child for a year?). Then, with his entrance into jail, it became more difficult to distinguish his words from those attributed to him by the press. I do not deny that certain images and a particular style of dress closely resemble those of the Nazis, but it all is probably a need for attention...I don’t know, I am not attached to these ideologies, so I haven't explored the symbolism in depth, but from Varg's autobiography, intelligent words emerge, Nazi or not.
Trey Parker South Park: Il Film
Voto:
Nice movie, but sad, like every film based on a cartoon series, long and meandering. I doubt that South Park is the most popular cartoon for adults: do you know The Simpsons?

The problem is that Mayhem favored themes like Death-war-Satan, and they referred to a way of life much more heavy metal than a Vikerness (the symbol of black metal), a reclusive, solitary, and eccentric character. The difference lies in the leader: Euronymous was a twenty-five-year-old alcoholic, depraved, with repressed homosexual tendencies that he unleashed in brawls and petty vandalism, infecting those around him; Vikerness was (and fortunately still is) a person with a high IQ, sensitive, solitary, dreamy, and cultured, fascinated by things, albeit in his own way. In the end, what wrong has he done? He killed a fool: how many of us would want to kill a thug and can’t do it? Our feelings are just envy...

1. The early Mayhem were a good band, and that's it. The Tormentor, Morbid, and Bathory were worth more and had a greater influence (so I'll let that slide). 2. I've never heard anyone say that De Mysteriis was the first black metal album: it's from 1993, and black metal, as you rightly point out, was born more than a year earlier. It's important to emphasize that Mayhem with Dead from 1990-91, even though they didn't release anything, were certainly very influential, so they should be considered one of the first black bands. De Mysteriis, however, has nothing to do with thrash in a broad sense, nor with German thrash. It's 100% black metal. 3. Euronymous was the leading figure of the scene, but despite his charisma, he got on everyone's nerves: that's why he died, because he was a jerk. However, it is undeniable that in the early years 1990-1992, he acted as a musical glue (providing a label, a home, a point of reference for many musicians). He was the godfather of the genre, not the father.
