Long before Aphex Twin, there were already those creating this kind of productions. As always, those who come to draw conclusions live off past achievements and shine with greatness. I don't believe James is a genius... rather, he is ingenious, but genius is something else.

I wouldn't be so sure that Christian Death owe everything to Rozz Williams. He was an ambiguous figure and sometimes overrated. The music for all the albums with Rozz - from Catastrophe Ballet onward - was written by Valor, who along with Gitane and Glass also handled the arrangements. Rozz wrote very beautiful lyrics, undoubtedly, but his centrality in the project was fluctuating.

I don't find it to be such a dreadful album. Sure... the band's sound and Molko's voice are so identifiable that all of their discography feels like a reinterpretation of the same song! However, in this latest album, there are two or three enjoyable moments. The arrangement is of good quality and the new drummer is doing quite well. Surely "Sleeping with ghosts" was a more boring effort, and even in "Black market music" there were rather anonymous moments.

Compared to previous analog discs, I find this one shows a bit of strain... somewhat heavy, repetitive, definitely inferior to "Thunder Perfect Mind."

Apart from the stunning opening of "sit and wonder," the rest is all fluff. I'm not surprised they chose it as the opening piece: it's the only song that resonates. By the end of the album, though, you're left with aching balls.

In certain passages, the battery is out of time. That's all. Useless are the discussions about nuances: when a band plays poorly even in the studio, there's nothing more to say.

One of the most pointless and boring films of that decade... a mess of people who were paid to give their worst and the worst of Italian comedy. I don’t know how Villaggio accepted that role... who knows...

I wanted to thank all of you for the seriousness with which my reviews of mainstream albums are commented on. It’s a sign that mainstream music is ultimately the subject of very superficial discussions and an interest driven almost solely by trends and media pressure.
I wonder why when I suggest niche or lesser-known albums you praise me so much :))
