Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited

I don't know where you got the idea that Hackett wasn't a composer on par with the other two. I'm sorry, but it was such nonsense that you let slip that I couldn't continue reading your review; I stopped at the first paragraph.

@the hair splitter Jargonking. We get it, you're a whiz when it comes to prog, and I can barely tell brutal from reggae. This album reminded me of the best Marillion, and if I'm not mistaken, they're not exactly metal prog, so I took the liberty to intervene; it won't happen again, I'll fall back in line.

Anatas... that was a joke, right?

Absolutely agree except for the classification you gave to the album. It’s prog and that’s it. There’s little to no metal.

I've always said they are right.. it's pointless to struggle to crush Tizio Carta or Caio Rossi, we are a poor insignificant handful of losers who stubbornly insist that true music is something else entirely.. poor deluded souls! Just look at the number and the happy faces at these concerts, to understand that the war and all the battles have always been won by them. I lay down my arms and submit to the mercy of FabriFibra.

"that leads us to pretend to appreciate albums that we actually don't like." Well done, Mike! You've hit the nail on the head! I think this album is one of the most talked-about and falsely appreciated in the rock scene. It might be the cover designed by Warhol... it might be the cool and badass name "Velvet Underground," it might be that it's from '67, so it's already got a layer of relic on it. It might even gross me out a little...
