So here’s my new version: take an ex-Nirvana, make them shoot 27 music videos for every song they’ve written, and play it non-stop on MTV, seasoned with reports, articles, and various tours. Second choice: take any guy and have him play what the FF played, and that’s it. With some modest advertising. The result is not the same. The songs that could have been good, I don’t doubt it (I don’t like them), but they were shoved forcibly into the audience’s ears.

They are those classic bands that achieve success only because they were founded by a member who had previously made history in their own way. Honestly, if I tell you to listen to FF without thinking that they are the product of a former Nirvana member, what do you think? Nothing more or less than stuff you've heard a million times... In my opinion, the media speculated on it, and they took advantage of it (can you believe it!).

There's nothing wrong with reviewing niche bands; better a review on Black K. than a thousand on Dream Merder... I appreciate your dedication, but when it's all in one block, the review loses its character, and it feels more like reading a treatise on flatworms from an animal biology book than about music.
