Johann Sebastian Bach Toccata, Adagio e Fuga BWV 564

But yes, what is commented on in the end is the extraordinary magnificence of his works without questioning anything. Instead, it would be fair to say: "this sounds like Bach badly," a bit like saying "this plays the guitar badly," that's all. ^^

Sorry, I read it wrong. However, you're putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. I never claimed that Bach is untouchable, but for the reasons I explained earlier, it doesn't make sense to me to give him a rating. Okay, the review is valid, it expresses feelings, anything you want, but I would have left it without a rating (it doesn't say who performed it) and I would have done the same with the comments. To me, this operation is "gnoseologically" wrong in this context.

That's not true, I didn't comment on Johnofpatmos's review. I checked, I just added it to the recommended ones... OLE! So??? Are we just babbling? :D

and I wouldn’t want to criticize, but I think that certain attitudes towards classical music are mainly due to a distorted view from those who have been shaped by pop music, unable to attribute an independent context to classical (look for example at the degenerates or the 5 who appear just because IT'S BACH). Judging pop music from the perspective of classical might be acceptable, but the opposite definitely isn’t.

Oh, so you didn't understand anything then? I didn't give a rating to Mozart in that case but to the Requiem by Mozart conducted by Karl Böhm. I don't know if you can grasp the subtle yet substantial difference. Reviewing Bach would be an endeavor that transcends the contents of this site; it’s a challenging task even for a musicologist, let alone for a progster who enjoys experimenting with classical listening.

ahhh Joe Henderson on Debaser! And you even chose his masterpiece, Opera Maxima! Well done, well done. Joe is not very well-known, but I consider him among the greatest saxophonists of all time...

But I ask you, how can one review Bach? How can you give him a rating? Perhaps you should have reviewed WHO INTERPRETED Bach in your album, but not Bach himself. It's an inconceivable thing for me. And then, what is jazz fusion progressive?? Come on, come on.

Wow, what did I just write?!? "I put it"?? Well, I'm spitting in my own face. I listened to it better this time, and I have to say I had underestimated it, even if... I don't know... it didn't completely win me over. I'll try with the other albums since they are quite different from each other, let's see...
