I found them all, swing only halfway, thanks to soulseek :)
I'm already familiar with Reinhardt, and indeed hearing it again from Bireli is a delight... for now I'm too busy with exams to analyze in detail (but as study companions they're irreplaceable at the moment) but the grandeur of technique and impact is quite evident... and moving. So thanks also for Bireli (what a name, by the way, it rivals Maynard in the top list for a potential offspring...), I'm eagerly awaiting more gems in the genre, while recommending to you in the meantime, as far from tango as possible, Coltrane's latest live album, THE OLATUNJI CONCERT, from '67... 1 hour of Ogunde and My Favorite Things... and great sax... electrifying, acid, and piercing... worth listening to a thousand times. But I guess you already know it... take it as an attempt to return the favor :)

the comparison with Consoli because she has a voice that I don't like, and I've already expressed my opinion about it, but at least there is a reason for her style, it’s particular, very much a matter of taste. For me, however, Melissa simply has a bland voice. Maybe it wasn’t really that clear…

But I didn't provoke anyone, I simply expressed an opinion... In person, I had that impression, well, that's that :)

I heard her before the apcs, a melting pot of gnumetal, punk, industrial, and very eighties disco music, a feeble and insipid voice with zero charisma. I really didn't like her, better Carmen Consoli.

I can say that in Milan Maynard was in extraordinary shape and with a spectacular ass squeezed into his leather shorts... I'm still drooling. He had a perfect voice, they finished with Judith and the final scream was... am I repeating myself? perfect... Seeing him live gives you a vague idea of what the divine is. Unfortunately, due to an incompetent sound engineer, the guitars and bass couldn't be heard (and I mean, fine for 10 minutes, but then you adjust the sound, don’t you???), I can say that: Iha is a leso (he started singing a Backstreet Boys song...), and when he did the solo for Judith he was just barely on time... Howerdel looks like a wave moving to the rhythm of the music, Ramirez has a shitty voice and the drummer hits like hell. They played: vanishing, pet, hollow, Magdalena, weak & powerless, orestes, blue, thinking of you, some punk stuff, the nurse who loved me angry version, very nice, thomas, the package. Then they said that The Outsider will be released as a single (freaking awesome), they are thinking of releasing a live album and that they will come back before summer... (I can hardly believe it but that would be amazing...) so they played The Outsider, The Noose, Judith. I've been in ecstasy for 3 days. I recommend reading the comments on the APC website, it’s hysterical, Italians are always the best... never boring...

I fully agree with iko, especially since 28 euros is not a small amount. You create musical pieces, improvise, do you all come from other groups? Do covers... wow, you're a real artist, not just a passing fancy. Then I consider myself an artist; for a Gustav Mahler or a Nina Simone, maybe it's a letdown... I'm a bit scared of the concert in Milan. If Maynard disappoints me, one of my few certainties will crumble...

oh, you, "But shut up and sing, come on" to Maynard, you don’t say that, do you?!? Of course, if in Milan he puts on a crappy concert for 1h15 (the Tool concert made me mad as a snake), then I’ll agree with you.. I’m sorry about Maynard's lame attitude, while regarding Iha, I never had high hopes (especially after hearing his solo album..) I wonder, what the hell are they doing around Italy for 11 days???

thank you, thank you, and thank you again for introducing me to this wonderful album; I listen to jazz without really understanding it much, and I have always had quite a few unjustified doubts about tango and Latin music in general, but this, this is truly a masterpiece. There is real chemistry, it’s individual instruments but also an inseparable sound... I have no more words for now, splendid... and the review is perfect. More than 5 for both.
