Yes, yes, back in the day, long hours of repetitive listening.........

Kosmic, I just saw your comment now.. I don't know if you've had a chance, but they are very "light," I would say almost carefree, with a touch of the Scissor Sisters (the falsetto?) and Foals (whom I adore).... Kisses

@Pannzzoone: I didn't just praise Giola's post, but several others that I find closer to my thoughts. Generally, I can define them as quite feminist, as a natural reaction to a world (not just a website, therefore) that has been like this for centuries and centuries. I assure you that it's not easy at all to be a Woman in this sense. Beyond these thoughts, expressed in a very reductive way, I can tell you that I find this photo breathtakingly beautiful. Marilyn was not simply a beautiful blonde who was a bit easy (....), and she actually had a personality that was much, much more complex than what the media have led us to believe for decades. I've always loved her myth just as I love that of James Dean: people trapped in their beauty and almost oppressed by it, as if they had nothing else. A person's gaze says it all. Find me a single photo where she (or Dean) looks happy.... That's it.

Uh-oh what are you pulling out of the hat! Just imagine that I met PJ through this mini-CD! It was love at first sight. I also "prefer" her and consider her at the top with "Stories..." but the raw, edgy, angry, sexual, and fierce production of this period is unparalleled when compared to other ladies of rock. Puny, in part you are right, but when it’s needed, it’s needed!!!

Nice to read you again... I reconfirm the above.

@Boy in the Ocean: The sound engineer I mentioned earlier is Irish, and the debut album was recorded in IRL; it had decent success in Italy, but back home and elsewhere, they weren't really noticed. Essentially, they were loved by the public at the time, but not by the industry people who opted for "something else," completely missing the mark. The problem for the Frou frou was just that: those who financed them didn't believe in them. This shows just how much those working in/with music really understand....................
