Kurz rightly pointed out that my previous response was a bit defensive... and that's partly true. I am indeed a rock girl, but I have just about everything from Metheny; he’s the only one from that "team" to whom I’ve truly surrendered, even though I have things from Weather, Spyro, Hancock (is it spelled like that??), etc. But he remains something apart for me. My opinion is typical of a guitarist, so I clear up any doubts for anyone who might still have them. And thank you, Hal...

Hi Kosmo, the review is really nice, you can tell how "felt" it is; I don’t know the album, although I have a couple of things from the band that give me the impression they are among their softer ones (the Love like Blood album and the other one "Brighter than a thousand suns" if I'm not mistaken, the one with the track Adorations) and I like them a lot precisely for their <soft roughness>.. Is this latest one much harder? I would love to read your personal ranking to better understand how closely your tastes align with mine..

Exactly.. I bought it in 1989 for what you might call "affectionate" reasons, and for a while I wandered in the jazz scene. I worked in a jazz pub and things like that.. it was a pleasant interlude, because I am a culturally curious person and I like discovering new things, period. I don’t love this "genre" but I recognize that a work is beautiful if it truly is, even if it doesn't completely reflect my tastes. That’s all. Clearly, now I’m listening to something else, and it's rock...

I know, I know... As I said, I still am a rocker, and now I'll read your stuff from the Killers! ;-)

In spite of precision and information!!!
Yes, months between one album and another, if not years, and every time it's a GREAT emotion... For me, with some artists, it’s still like that, fortunately...

For Kosmo: as you may have read, the good MICHELE VECCHIOCAMPO was my first great love.. I was 11 years old at the time and the vinyl I was given is original, the one still with the old Virgin label, with the drawing of the maiden, just to be clear, by the way, the label was BORN just for that album (did you know that?) which at the time no one wanted to publish because it was considered "risky" since it was a work conceived as a suite and played by a single person with an 8-track, with "posthumous" addition of choirs and very little else.. From then on, I bought all of them first on vinyl and then gradually on CD, up to Amarok, and then I stopped because in my opinion it’s not worth it.. And what a nice review, what do you say? ;-) Kisses

Good! In response to Luciano: you were very thorough and precise, I like the idea of "broadening horizons" even if this compresses the wallet mentioned above. I believe that as soon as I have cash to invest, I will get both missing CDs for my collection. Thank you. Kisses
