Hi Rivo, I happily searched for some reviews of the Doves and as the first one, I read this.. what to say? I deeply disagree, and it seems to me that the slightly presumptuous tone (maybe it's just my impression) of the review is somewhat out of place for a band that I find quite precious instead. I think a group like Travis is indeed a bit too light, predictable, and already heard, but I also believe that they have absolutely nothing to do with the Doves; I wouldn't even spend the few euros on a CD to burn for Travis. Coldplay is a whole other story, and you can't just talk about simple easy pop or romantic rock etc. etc.. They are an excellent band, and they made a debut album that is stunning.. The Doves are yet another thing, and certainly cataloging them as British easy pop or other such labels is reductive and superficial. The Doves are excellent musicians, their sound is refined and cultured, really cultured, their arpeggios are never predictable, and the voice is unique. They defined The Last Broadcast as one of the albums of that year and not just for any reason.. I believe I can hold this point of view with dignity, and if I must also provide some credentials, I can ironically mention my age and the number of CDs in my possession.. As UMMA says, Respect!!

Ps: I vote OK for K's Bios, Iko and any others...
