Welcome Dario, so.. the review is very well written and contains cultured and appropriate citations; it's clear that you know the work in question.. but for me to read .."the decline of inspiration from Banks and companions, manifested with a tendency towards a sometimes exaggerated virtuosity, with the not always appropriate use of synthesizers that sometimes break the atmosphere too abruptly, along with the excessively pop character of some tracks.." physically hurt me.. I find that this album - although indeed different from the previous ones, deviating towards a sound that is indeed a bit less mannered - is an absolutely indisputable masterpiece of heart-wrenching beauty, nothing less; even "More fool me" (pop?? rather folk!) with that strangled voice of Collins is spine-chilling, not to mention the structural perfection of The Cinema Show or the compositional fantasy of The Battle... Then After the ordeal, a baroque masterpiece that brings tears... Decline of inspiration??? Exaggerated virtuosity? But Progressive IS exaggerated virtuosity!! And then The Lamb "not dignified"? I don't know, as I've said many times, touching Genesis is like shooting myself in the ovaries, I react strongly!! Anyway, great debut...
