Glitch: Hi, I must preface that lately I rarely manage to connect to the internet and therefore to our beloved site, so I apologize for any prolonged silences and lack of responses. So, Fennesz. As I have mentioned several times before, I belong to the group that passionately loves Ambient music or whatever you want to call it, within the circle of Sylvian, Eno, Sakamoto, Budd, and the like, so I will say that I went to the concert of our Austrian friend already with a clear idea of maximum enjoyment, even without knowing him entirely. It could be that there were organizational issues, that it took place in a different context than initially planned, that a local band played first, and that perhaps I expected something different, but... it did not convince me. I expected melodies in the classical sense of the word and found myself attending a performance of disjointed sounds and images deliberately intertwined, but that did not engage me emotionally... I don't know how to say it, as I wrote in the thought box, I need to reflect on it and especially need to listen to the work on the CD calmly... What do you think, since you always seem very well-informed and knowledgeable?? ;-)

Hello.. Giorgia could and should be considered one of the greatest voices in the Italian music scene, but as often happens with a certain type of Italian music, the allure of easy and quick commercial success is strong in this case as well, leading to the waste of an incredibly natural and emotional talent in the name of a batch of silly little songs that are always the same for every kazzutosantociddì that we churn out every San Remo or at the beginning of summer.. And it’s a real shame because the vocal qualities of the aforementioned are indisputable and impressive. I heard one of her jazz concerts a while ago, live on RadioUNo, and I assure you that her voice paired with that music gave me chills and moved me deeply. Then after the concert, they played one of her hits and I felt sick to my stomach. What a pity, really a pity.
Ps: yes, she has definitely gone downhill in recent years..
