Hi Deadhouse, no, for me too, the musical circle never closes or aligns; every time I think I have a complete vision, some new trend or genre I didn’t know about pops up, sigh! It’s a continuous chase, but that’s precisely its beauty and it keeps the brain awake! I meant the circle of this series of reviews because I only realized after I started writing them that they had more or less a common thread, whether due to the decade (the early '90s), the genre (even though many don’t like to make distinctions), or the feelings... That’s what I meant :)

@Bletch and Psycho: so, for the pop/eclectic part: Heartbeat, Sweet Revenge, and Smoochy; for the more intimate side (which I currently prefer) absolutely "1996" and the soundtracks of "Tacchi a spillo" and "The nel Deserto"...

A thousand thanks to Panda who, far from being endangered, has critically debated an aspect that perhaps I hadn't emphasized enough: Sakamoto has always been able to do whatever he wants because he is more than capable of it. He could even write punk music if he wanted to, and he would manage to be credible. @Blech: you don't know Sakamoto at all? Because there are so many who don't... @Reverse: this CD features 2 songs sung by Sylvian (not counting the collaboration on the arrangements).
