For me, both albums are on the same level; Ritual has a first part that pumps out hallucinatory adrenaline, and in the second part, they wanted to experiment a bit with more exotic tones, while Nothing's went straight to the point with ecstatic fury and resonating echoes. Anyway, no band has ever managed to be both elegant and debauched, glamorous and ragged at the same time, without either aspect overpowering the other—it's a miraculous balance even at the level of iconography. Never has depravity been so sumptuous and cherubic.
