Not all classical reviews deserve a 5, I'm sorry... I know that's how people tend to think, but this especially applies to albums of this genre. Absolutely cold, useless profusions, with Devoto right next to it... Forgive me, but that's just not how it's done. Then the ending feels too much like "Amadeus" by Milos Forman. Please forgive me, imperfect reviewer. I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but you deserve a 1 just for this coldness, I don't know how else to define it...

Sorry, but are you sure you listened to this album? No, because the "cacophony of sounds" is a well-defined thing: it consists of "instrumentation" made up of surgical instruments, like scalpels, scissors, and so on.. At least that should be mentioned, considering it's a single track of 74 minutes. And the "tickings" are more precisely heartbeats.. It seems pretty obvious to me.. With this, I'm not saying that the work is completely genius, as 17 minutes of heartbeats are not exactly digestible right away, but they deserve a 4 for the effort. Of course, Patton has worked better with Zorn. You can do better too, Emanuele, I know you..
