Scorpions Animal Magnetism

I found Blackout to be VERY disappointing; after the first, legendary era (Virgin Killers, the masterpiece, and In Trance, excellent), I think they sold out in an indecent way to a rock that's not very genuine and clearly too commercial. I don't even think I'll listen to this one (I still have to get through the highly recommended Taken By Force, and re-listen to Tokyo Tapes, slurp ;P).
Woody Allen Match Point

Well, to be honest (even though they are two different things), I liked Scoop much more, and Scarlett (my favorite actress) is almost sexier in the second one (with those nerdy glasses, she’s terribly sexy!). Match Point might leave you a bit disappointed...
Guillermo Del Toro Il Labirinto Del Fauno

Even if the intent was to convey a metaphor, it was developed terribly, in a superficial manner, and with scenes that are indecent from a creative standpoint. And then, the little girl barely knows there’s a war going on; the only thing that disturbs her is that her father has been replaced by that ugly face of the commander "mensochì"... Come on, what a metaphor.
@adrianobernard: not only does the faun suck, but so do all the other fantasy characters: but then again, it’s not an American film...

What do Kubrick and Chaplin have to do with it?: They matter because they are examples of cinema that conveys emotions, but more than anything, of humanity, and this film represents no truly important value, just a sad and violent faux-baroque story that is unnecessarily "fantasy"...

1) Auteur films are almost always a guarantee, and DePalma has missed very few shots so far; 2) I understand it's a violent historical event, but mixing it with a fantasy story makes NO SENSE (and a nice fantasy story too!...) 3) If you want the discussion to continue as long as you want, I am unyielding.
Mariottide Tristezza A Palate

This man is gut-wrenching! (I mean Mariottide). The hits "Un figlio per sbaglio," "Tu puzzi," "Perché sputi," and "Mannaggia" are unmissable!!! No comment on your choice...
Gabriele Salvatores Io Non Ho Paura
Voto:
Excellent directorial and scenic choices for a great film, which leaves a mark with the story created by Ammaniti (who is "there" in this film)... Very beautiful.

PS: It's not that I THOUGHT it was a children's movie, but I said that someone might have thought so...

Allow me to strongly disagree. I will stand by my opinion; maybe I was a bit smug, but the fact is that this movie sucks, and all of you are enchanted by a false cinema in search of easy money. This film did not deserve a SINGLE one of the Oscars it won, while the other two films (authored, by the way) did, indeed. If you think this is true cinema, I would have you go through a nice dose of Kubrick and DePalma (perhaps even Chaplin).
