To avoid misunderstandings, the laughter is for Domo's comment. The review speaks for itself.

Ah, Akerfeldt's growls are magnificent!! A cliché adjective, but I wouldn't know what other word to use.

people come and people go... at the moment, if I'm not mistaken, on drums there’s Axenrot (who also plays in Opeth) and only 2 of the "founding members" are left, namely Mr. katatonia-renske and another guy on guitar whose name I'm currently forgetting... the singer hasn’t been found yet. you probably already knew this stuff :D but I wanted to highlight my interest in this band, given my admiration for Opeth and Katatonia, an interest I’ve never really delved into by listening to one of their albums... maybe one day I’ll decide! anyway, the review is really excellent.

"It might be that the average age of people on this site is 18, which means you think with today's mindset, not yesterday's. You weren't there, and perhaps that's for the best." Apparently, from reading some other reviews, you Poletti should be around 31-32 years old. And in 1980 you were there, right? Yes, physically maybe, but I don’t think you were that interested in the Italian music scene at the tender age of 5-6, doing a quick calculation. Therefore, you also judged the record "seriously" (or at least understood the revolution (?) of Vasco) a long time after its release. So please, don't make these arguments if you came to know about this fresh breath of air (yes, sure!) through hearsay or direct experience... but well after the album was released. Let people like you talk about these things if they are at least 45, since you think that before 18 one isn't able to speak about music and should focus on studying (2006-1980=26, 26+19=45, setting your pseudo-minimum limit to discuss these topics at 19). Not to mention that I wouldn’t even listen to the opinion of that aforementioned 45-year-old model (because we’re talking about music here, hence art, not about trends), it seems you're far from those 45 springs... CONGRATULATIONS!!

likely, bartle :D it's just that since I saw so many in + ablative, I thought that in + accusative could be a complement of motion to a figurative place. but maybe "in aeternum" is the classic phrase written in the dictionary, so the meaning is yours. well, I also remember very little of Latin and yet only a year has passed XD

Ah, when I got the record, I tried to translate the title... it should be "I Will Wander in the Shadow of Malice (?), Towards the Eternal in the Triumph of Darkness"... it should be the most faithful version ;)

I, on the other hand, am interested in your vote. Mine is low, a record of mortal boredom, honestly easily composable by many others. They wanted to produce a "cutting-edge" album? Well, they didn’t succeed; certain things should be left to those who are truly capable. The 60-minute piece was definitely meant as a provocation, intended to say "hey, look what we are capable of. a 60-minute piece"… but maybe I am the one who is wrong!
