"A product that is worth 100 times all the albums the band has released afterward": I'm sorry, but this is truly an exaggeration without any basis. That you might like this more than the subsequent ones is another matter... but presenting such a gap between their second work and the albums released after is a gratuitous insult! I ADVISE THOSE WHO ARE APPROACHING KATATONIA: also get all the other albums, which are also works of remarkable quality. The review is pleasant; I agree that you did well to rewrite it considering that guy, wwwhate…, has ruined more than one album with his pseudo-reviews.

There is an inaccuracy, at least it jumped out at me right away. It's not believed that Robert Johnson had ties to Satan because he was black, but rather for a pact that - at least according to legend - he made with the devil. So, regarding the purely thematic aspect (also see some of his lyrics), I don't think a piece of his in the album is completely out of place, even if it's still too risky (I would NEVER buy an album like that... I'm convinced of this, it's an embarrassing "commercial" operation; I rate the album based on what you've written). The same can be said for Black Sabbath. [On this subject, I refer to my review on Johnson]. END OF ADVERTISEMENT.

The bad thing about Dani Filth is that he doesn't realize how ridiculous he is!! And his voice is often painful. I don't understand how you can call him a gifted singer... I don't know, you might like the style...
