+ what else is in fashion to say that the Black album sucks. Well, for me it’s a great work! Ah, Until it sleeps and Bleeding me from "Load" are two really beautiful tracks... and now bring on the criticism! Okay, I don’t like Load either, but if I have to talk about total crap (and by total I mean there’s not even one decent song), I’m talking about "Reload." The symbol of this crap? Fuel! which some even have the audacity to call "the best song written by Metallica since '91." gimme fuel gimme fire... please!

no no, you’re right, sorciopeloso. 70! but it will happen soon: it’s well known that Iron Maiden have released about 2,347,689 DVDs and live compilations... when someone doesn’t know what the hell to do...
Abruptum Obscuritatem Advoco Amplectere Me

Well, I really don't see these great inventions in the music of Abruptum. In this regard, I would refer you to my comment on IN umbra and blah blah. Sometimes the line that divides extreme originality from inability or arrogance is perhaps a bit too thin... so while for me these might be charlatans with a bit too much self-esteem, for you they could be misunderstood geniuses. It’s that line that is too thin... but I respect your opinion. Bye.

Because when I read Switzerland, instead of thinking of all those nice things you mentioned, I thought "banks"? XD Anyway, the review is excellent, maybe a bit too comprehensive... you could have cut something. Perhaps more than something...
The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground & Nico

mmm it's true, the know-it-all pointed out that little line about Pasolini that actually has nothing to do with it and that maybe I had missed before. Zero context. I agree with the know-it-all also for the fact that more than pessimists, they could indeed be defined as realists... but in reality, it's precisely this that the review presents, perhaps unintentionally (I say unintentionally because the reviewer talks about "pessimism"...). So, media goes.

I quote kosmogabri. santi_bailor, you really hit the mark! "The Velvet Underground invented the second-degree revolution, meaning they rebelled against the flower children of '68 who, in turn, were rebelling against that pre-existing hypocritical prohibitionist system" – this is the crux of the matter... Ever since I first listened to the Velvet Underground, I understood that if there was truly any group in the '60s that was above the masses, REALLY (and I emphasize that) original, far from the classic stylistic clichés that were sometimes overly exaggerated and, at worst, ridiculous, well... it was definitely them!

I'm sorry, but the review, if it can be called that, didn't make me smile, not even a little...
Katatonia Brave Murder Day

Well, there are obviously various definitions that, frankly, I don't really care about anymore... gothic metal - perhaps the most appropriate - alternative rock and that kind of stuff... P.S. "last fair deal gone down" might not be a masterpiece but... come on, it's beautiful! The last one left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth too.

Sorry, but it's a common mistake to consider the "real" Katatonia (forgive me the term) as those from the early albums. Of course, Dance of December Souls and BMD can be seen as a separate period, a PERIOD!!! just as Darknight said, but they are 2 albums out of 7. If I had to introduce Katatonia to a friend in general, as a whole, I certainly wouldn't play him the first 2 albums. Unfortunately, I read this in too many places: Katatonia are only the doom band of BMD and bla bla... utterly false! That was a different group (come on, Renske could barely sing), even if certain atmospheres have remained and I would even dare to classify the later albums as doom too (perhaps an atypical doom).
