Gravedigger, I'm responding here: I wasn't referring to you when I spoke about those who have multiple different nicknames, I was simply replying to Fenni who was wondering what the point of owning various fakes could be. I don't know you, I've never talked to you, so I have no idea if you're the classic type with 1000 fakes or a somewhat more serious person, so I had no reason to refer to you. And come on, relax, the 1 was for the Iron fools (and it couldn't be otherwise) not for your review, which I haven't read, by the way. I repeat, I feel sorry for those who run around with fakes, I don't know anything about you; as far as I'm concerned, you could be anyone. Bye.

fenni, there's nothing to explain. Those who have more than one nickname, in most cases, are simply to be pitied.

No Mauro, you’re not wrong for listening to more serious music; you’re wrong for having the presumption to say that what you listen to is serious stuff, and anything related to metal is not!

Currently, Jim Morrison is living the good life on a small island in the Pacific with Elvis and Chef Tony, along with other more or less important characters whose fates remain unknown. Everyone knows it!!!!!!!

Your beloved Dream Theater don't seem that much like kids (especially Labrie), yet they enjoy copying Metallica in their albums... so, come on, THEY LISTEN TO THEM! It's obvious that this leads to the image of the clueless metal kid who only listens to Metallica, simply because they are among the most famous metal bands and it’s easier to get into them at an age when you’re not very knowledgeable about the subject and try to absorb stuff that’s within your reach. Then you know how it is, the classic word-of-mouth, my cousin listened to it, my cousin's friend, and scenes like that. As time passes, it's also likely that musical tastes change, but if you're really a bit sharp, you’ll manage to discern the junk of early adolescence from music that, even if listened to carelessly back then or out of some trendy alternative craze, still sees and continues to see its value remain unchanged.

Yes, you are indeed too kind. That little bit of exaggeration doesn't seem so little... but I think that if the site still exists in a few years, it might happen to stumble upon these bullshit and have a good laugh. After all, it takes time for a broader understanding (musical, in this case), and I doubt that maurettoproggettaro has many springs behind him. Damn it, I feel like I'm sixty years old having these discussions!

I have to preface... I don't find Petrucci that likable either (quite the opposite!) but respect, albeit minimal, I repeat, is owed to him. Just as respect is owed to Metallica, in memory of what they have done, even if they have become the Britney Spears of metal.

Sorry guys, now it's known, it's so fashionable to mock Petrucci, when just a few years ago he was considered a god by an outrageous number of guitarists and others. It's very trendy, sure, but a minimum of respect for someone who wrote most of Awake is at least due. Not to mention that I doubt the solo work has been listened to by most of those who criticize it: well, give it a listen, it may not be a masterpiece, his fast runs at 300 bpm can be a bit annoying at times, but in terms of composition, it's not that bad, you know...
