B.B. King Guess Who
Voto:
B. B. King is a great artist, with very structured phrasing and a unique feeling. Definitely one of the biggest influences on Clapton along with Albert King. By the way, "slowhand" doesn’t mean "slow hand" at all, as almost everyone believes. Slow-hand is a nickname given to Clapton by Giorgio Gomelsky (manager of the Yardbirds) because he initially took a bit of time to start playing after getting on stage, and the audience would perform what is called a "slow handclap" out of impatience, to get him to start playing. Gomelsky also played on the fact that "clap" was already in Clapton, making a kind of wordplay. In reality, it doesn’t mean he was a slow guitarist at all; in fact, Gomelsky strongly argued the opposite, that he was a guitarist who was too fast (for the time, of course; we're talking about 1962-1963). PS. I don't agree that blues is just American stuff. I think this record isn't much of anything.

@ale: have you realized that throughout this whole discussion, blackdog has screwed us over and is passing off our ideas as his own? ;D

Jorma Kaukonen Blue Country Heart

"gnarled hands, tightly around a beam," an opening on the brink of censorship. Kaukonen was friends with John Hammond Jr. in college and had the chance to listen to a lot of great stuff from Hammond senior's collection (including a lot of material that was never released or published long after, like Robert Johnson). I don't know this, but I trust it.

I don’t know, there are more people without protection with a gun to their head than the other way around. In Italy, it works like this; the book is useless since people don’t read. The movie serves little purpose. Death threats, on the other hand, get immediate attention. Everyone understands those.

5 because you manage to fool everyone for the sixty-seventh time (67!!!) making it look new each time (9.66 simply genius). Until next time.

I had already heard the songs, kudos to the drummer. To tell the truth, I expected a much more distorted ale; the last 20 seconds of "vita da cinghiale" are really beautiful.

It seems there are about 50 reviews of Debaser up there. Okay, the source is cited, but can they do that?
