Michelangelo Antonioni Blow Up

Jimmy Page was accompanying, and on guitar there was mainly Jeff Beck. It's his guitar that gets smashed.

Of course Iommi was there, it's his only appearance with Jethro Tull. Damn, I wanted to do this too, it’s just that among the thousand things I do, I never get around to writing and this is the result. I would have focused more on the type of performance in general. The idea was to create a concert not anymore for oceanic crowds as had been the tradition for a long time, but an atmosphere that was in a sense much more enclosed, a sort of unplugged ante-litteram, even though here the guitars were plugged in and all that. Then the introduction that’s on the DVD captures the essence of the whole album: for a brief moment it seemed that rock'n'roll would inherit the earth. "Sympathy For The Devil", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", and "A Quick One (While She's Away)" the best moments. The harmonica in "A Song For Jeffrey" is actually played by Glenn Cornick.

Bohemian Rhapsody the masterpiece, but especially beautiful is "The Prophet Song." For sure their best album. A review too much from a fan's perspective, and there were probably better ones made about the same album, but I can't say why since I've never read them.

I quote kosmogabri, the worst one is definitely that of the Twisted Sister with the bone in the hair and all that makeup, a concentration of terrible taste. But the one from Hawkind is no joke either.

Yes, exactly. While the trend of the time was to play hard rock and progressive, they anticipated punk by many years. Few bands can be considered pioneers like the Stooges.

Dream On was not a success at all when the debut album was released. It became successful after 1976 when the single was re-released. The success was largely due to the release of albums like Toys In The Attic and Rocks. Same Old Song And Dance is very beautiful.

Well done, I wish I could have done it myself. The solo of Presence of The Lord and the riff of Had To Cry Today are worth the album on their own.

even Led Zeppelin took the riff from Dazed and Confused from Jack Holmes without even crediting him, yet the song they came up with is monstrous and has nothing to do with Jack Holmes's version. But that riff was copied. period.
