just like Alice Cooper's first group, "The Nazz," this band also takes its name from a song by the Yardbirds, "The Nazz Are Blue," a reworking of the instrumental Jeff's Blues, also by the Yardbirds. However, when Alice learned that there was already a band named Nazz (as it turns out, this one), he decided to name the group Alice Cooper.
