@easycure: you told me that the Velvet of the Beatles didn't give a damn, I told you they made a whole album out of it. For the rest, there was a "for me" in front of my sentences, so it's clear that it was just my opinion. No hard feelings. @holdsworth: I agree, it really seems more like a solo album by Reed than a Velvet album.

Between us, are you really sure that the Velvet Underground didn't care at all about the Beatles? Because to me, the pop-rock of Loaded reminds me of something.

I wrote that if anyone wants to learn how to write a song, those 2 albums I mentioned can serve as a manual. Exile On Main Street was not named by me. And when I said there were still a couple of albums besides that, I was indeed referring to the Velvet's debut.

Yes, in fact, you didn't get it. But at least you didn't mention Frank Zappa and kraut rock :D

As always, the best comments are the anonymous ones. For me, this remains their masterpiece and the essential step for anyone wanting to learn how to write a song, along with a couple of other albums, like Blonde On Blonde.

I wasn't very impressed by the album. "Mountains Of The Moon," however, is one of the most perfect songs I have ever heard. Perhaps the most perfect. And I find "What's become of the baby" to be one of the highlights of the album. Still, the rating for the work is solely for "Mountains Of The Moon."

I quote this sentence from CaptainHowdy: "the proof of Blaze du is at historical lows, one thing serves to make it clear."
