Nice review, although I didn't understand the meaning of this sentence: "Questo duo tedesco Rother-Dinger, che da solisti o con le rispettive band, producono suoni per lo più accattivanti, mielosi senza risparmiare sull'uso del synth, ma in coppia la loro parte oscura nascosta viene fuori, combaciando perfettamente l'una all'altra." This and a few errors like "L'10%" make it a bit rough around the edges. Nonetheless, a solid 4. It's an album I’ve only listened to once, and it didn’t really impress me much. I will try again.

In fact, John Hammond Jr., son of John Hammond and blues musician (as well as college mate of Kaukonen), is one of those, as I understand Rory Block, who has covered practically the entire catalog of Robert Johnson. Moreover, he was the only one to have in his band both Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, even if only for a few days, at the "Gaslight Cafe" in New York, although to my knowledge there are no recordings.

@muito: Johnson's recordings, before they were released on LP, were only available on 78s and had little market, but one of the few who owned them was John Hammond from Columbia Records, the guy who discovered people like Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Pete Seeger, etc. Look, you've inspired me for a review I'm writing right now. I'll send it in a few days :D

But of course, the one playing Robert Johnson looks like a pornstar.

Jorma Kaukonen was one of the few who listened to Johnson's recordings even before they were released. He was a classmate of John Hammond Junior, the son of John Hammond from Columbia Records. If it weren't for the cover, I would never listen to it, but from the review, it sounds intriguing.

"within you without you" the weak point? are you kidding? finally, someone is taking a different stance? just look at how there are more reviews of this album giving it 1 than those giving it 5 in a bit. If you have nothing to do, go listen to Jeff Beck's version of "A Day In The Life," just to refresh your ears.
