Once I had the cassette, but even without having seen him in person, it’s not like they really, really made me go crazy... maybe I don't love rock and roll!! Really cute review.

WELL then, let’s start by saying that: 1) THE MOVIE, well… uhm… I haven’t seen it. 2) THE BOOK, yes, the book, so… no, now that I think about it, I haven’t read the book either, but I did read *Il nome della rosa* and it seems I’ve also read *Assassinio nella cattedrale* (oh, isn’t it the same thing? You never seem to be satisfied!). 3) THE REVIEW, so the review, well, what the hell do I need to read the review for??!! Anyway, keep it up, you guys are amazing!!!!
ps. (sorry, I really wanted to vote for you paloz but as you can see I’m really lacking the basics…)

However, the matter of children is a different issue! Their brains are like sponges, with memory, adaptability, and zero preconceptions... but in my opinion, it's more about their voracity and ability to absorb information of any kind rather than the pleasure in listening in the "classical" sense of adults...

Is Schoenberg's dodecaphony the same musical genre as that composed by Mozart? I find few points of contact... and just listening to deepen my understanding seems a bit like mental masturbation from a music history exam.

Okay, I'm "not" starting to understand but I'm trying... his in the sense of Nelson's?!

...to me, music is also (perhaps especially?) about feelings. Without taking anything away from the harmonic value of Kind of Blue, which I believe has been analyzed to death by almost everyone attending jazz courses/seminars, I must say that I liked it a lot; it's elegant, never cloying, but (this is just my opinion!) it also feels a bit bland and slow, and in the stereo, it doesn't hold up against other albums (just off the top of my head, I think of The Blues and the Abstract Truth, and at least a couple of Horace Silver...). I'm saying this as a "passive" listener, because the little I know about harmony from studying classical music is light years away from jazz... Am I just spouting nonsense?? Feel free to shoot me down but enlighten me!!!
