Strapping Young Lad Alien

The Devin Townsend Band released just one album, "Accelerated Evolution," which is quite nice, a good rock album (and this is where the true Townsend emerges, interpreting rock in his own way) with some keyboard inserts that are a bit campy, but Devin likes them a lot. He then developed projects like Ocean Machine (very melodic) and Infinity (experimental, but not that much, I'd say they experimented just for the heck of it, oh, a well-done heck of it, eh :D). I really like Terria, it's super chill, super melodic, and vaguely (very vaguely) pinkfloydian, with some prog tracks. Then the first song "Olives" is an incredible blast. It starts with the distorted voice "Cooooome innnnn, Right this wayyyyyy.....Sit Down......Martini?......stir your drink?.......Olive? Amazing. But ABOVE ALL, listen to how Hoglan sounds in Terria; he sounds like a little lamb, truly crazy.

Stuff in a hurry... I’d say A LOT of stuff; in my opinion, Alien, even if very good, has nothing to do with City. I told you, the industrial sound has remained, but it's not as "sick" as it used to be. I tell you that the work I've been listening to the most from Townsend lately is Terria and the latest Devin Townsend Band:D. I repeat, I love him.

Boh, I've loved Townsend for years and for years he's churned out albums after albums. Can you believe he got stuck with his war machine Syl, the most devastating industrial project I've ever heard? If I had to rate them, I'd say: Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing - 8, City - 10 flat, Syl - 5, Alien - 6 plentiful. But Townsend is all about quality, not just any old stuff, you know? I'd say with the last two he played it pretty safe, without inventing any groundbreaking novelty in the field. His flaw, in my opinion, is that he releases too many albums (not at Patton's level, but almost) and collaborates with too many people. It feels like stuff thrown together almost in a rush and indeed recorded in a short amount of time. Despite this, I'll keep loving him :D. So, have you listened to Terria?

More than good, I’m actually beautiful. Come on Arianna, no double meanings, you and I are giving private lessons in stoner and psychedelic rock. Let’s start with Monster Magnet and go down down down down down.

Arianna, I also have the two spheres of knowledge and the spear of solidarity. You are 59 years old. I know.

Think that Sunn0))) recorded a cover of a Northeastern European black metal band (Immortal) that ended up in a tribute compilation. When evil strikes.

During the day, no acids, I stick my face to the dick's ass and he squeezes the brains out so he strains and shoots. It's fun, give it a try.
