Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Yes, but can you confirm that there's a bit more honesty in Waters' works than in Gilmour's solo projects or with Pink Floyd? It's clear that we tend to be influenced by what has been successful in our careers, unless your name is Peter Gabriel! Anyway, Radio KAOS is awful, I admit it too (except for "The Tide Is Turning"). And by the way, I also listen to their solo albums out of fondness! Because, whether for better or worse, soloists or not, they ARE Pink Floyd.

but you know her, lestat....... :)
we agree that both the Pink Floyd release and Waters' are terrible. but at least he redeemed himself well with Amused to Death, now tell me that one sucks... you’ll definitely say it... :(

to Luca, what are you kidding? It's nice to compare notes! Otherwise, it would be quite a drag! :) Thanks for the very useful information!

I made a ton of spelling mistakes, but I wrote it all in one go! I apologize for that! Oh, anyway, I actually take it lightly! When I say "cultore," I put a smile on it!

But what the newspapers write matters little to me; I am sure of what I think. And what I think is definitely right... :) Anyway, I belong to neither the first nor the second wave. Trust me, I’m a true connoisseur of Pink Floyd. I say this only because I might sound "cool" when I do, but I don’t care. And if you want to know the whole truth, I prefer "A Saucerful of Secrets"; the real Floydian trips begin there. And it has nothing to do with Syd Barrett or not! I adore Syd Barrett and have all his albums and various box sets. Pink Floyd is a movement in the truest sense of the word, from the first album to the last. It’s a music that continuously evolves, so how could I categorize one period over another? You have to take the whole picture. You are young, full of naivety, in adolescence you start to experiment with new experiences, then self-awareness arises, but it’s not long before the regrets and anxieties about aging begin to set in; then you accept yourself for who you are, neither old nor young, and eventually you find yourself having to carry on. This is the evolution of Pink Floyd, for better or worse. And I love them for this, because they are like me, but also like you and like all the men in the world (maybe not quite like me and you, I’d love to savor a little of their millions! :) :) ....). Got it, in short? ;)

Well, yes, it is a bit out of tune, but I like that raspy voice! Especially when it screams in in the flesh? "Drop it! Drop it on 'em!"... it's a chilling scream, in a positive sense, of course! Radio Kaos is true, it’s completely unlistenable, but "The Pros and Cons" is musically excellent as well as "Amused to Death," even more so! Gilmour's stuff is outrageous; why did he even make those? "David Gilmour" and "About Face," especially! They sound like albums in the vein of Phil Collins, another one I can’t stand as a solo artist. As a drummer, he is number one, above all, but as an artist... mmmmmmh... anyway, these are my opinions. As for Bob Ezrin, it’s true he hasn’t been credited, etc., but "Comfortably Numb" and "Run Like Hell" aren’t the best on all of The Wall. "Nobody Home" is stunning, as well as "Don't Leave Me Now," and the opening of "In the Flesh?" is excellent... what can we say?

an interesting speech, guevo, that I almost feel like sharing. However, I would frame the issue more like this: is there a difference between UNforgettable and crap?
Anyway, from your speech, I gather that you consider "obscured by clouds" a piece of forgettable crap. In short, you took a shit on it but don't look back to see it, right?
