Madonna Hard Candy
Voto:
One can still be a young man from the 60s or a metalhead at 50, so why not continue being a popstar? It's not like when you hit 50 you suddenly have to start discussing the meaning of life, knitting needles, and retirement predictions. Vulgarity... ah, vulgarity is something quite different from the cover of hard candy. Vulgarity means offending someone's sensibility.
Sarah Brightman Symphony
Voto:
On the CD do 4, although it is beautiful and enjoyable, there is too great a gap between Fleurs du Mal and the rest of the songs. Of these, several had been sung in previous years for various occasions. Pasion is the theme of a telenovela, for example, while Running was used for a charity event. It’s not completely unreleased material as in Harem, and it also lacks a certain homogeneity in sound. It’s an orchestral album closer to Eden, but with arrangements and sound quality that are far superior. The bonus track, Sarahbande, which reworks Handel's piece also used in the OST of Barry Lyndon, deserves a mention. Too bad about "Canto della Terra" because I can't stand Bocelli. I find him absolutely lacking in personality.
Madonna & Justin 4 Minutes
Voto:
It’s a nice song that, rather than living its own life, acts as a promotion for the upcoming album, which promises to be certainly fun and well done. Madonna is (so to speak) diving into R&B, but without turning into a pouting, glossy doll like Mariah Carey, or any other black music singer. I don’t know about you, but contemporary black music completely lacks personality. That’s why Madonna only skims the surface, adds a sprinkle of ghetto life, and there you have it. Long live artifice! She had already done it in ’94 with Bedtime Stories, a vaguely R&B album.
Madonna The Confession Tour
Voto:
Madonna often manages to make songs better in concert than on albums. The arrangements are more substantial and moving. Listen to the version of "Erotica," touching... or "Like a Virgin" more 80s than the original. The guy you met who was playing her album in the car diminishes its reputation, without a doubt.
Sarah Brightman Harem

I don't know if they really used his version for the water, but he re-recorded "Scarborough Fair" for the album "Luna."
Blake Edwards Colazione Da Tiffany
Voto:
I thought it would be a cheesy and silly movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. I admit that in the final scene under the rain, a tear slipped out.
Michael Jackson Thriller
Voto:
It doesn't matter if you're black or white...sure, like no...said by Michael Jackson, especially! Anyway, this is a great album, representative of its genre and the time it was released. And really, who can stay still when there's a Michael Jackson song playing in the background?

The first album was very nice. I especially appreciated its exotic musicality, which unfortunately was missing in the next one. His subsequent songs became more anonymous precisely because he set aside the oriental atmospheres. What a pity.
Nightwish Dark Passion Play
Voto:
However, speaking poorly of Nightwish, Nuclear Blast is among the record labels that assert their direction the most. With "Once," their sound changed significantly. Other bands like Sirenia also underwent a strong restyling when they switched to Nuclear.

Is success a mortal sin, Emanuele? More money means more means to compose music. Without money and success, Tuomas wouldn't have been able to use a real orchestra from Century Child onwards. If mainstream music means catchy music, I think it's harder to create a defined and interesting melody than to shoot out four screams accompanied by a guitar riff and hide behind the excuse that it's pure and hard metal.
