It simply annoys me the so-called "war of the sexes," especially in trendy "fashionable" terms like in this book. Usually, I don’t care about how women and men behave in general, and these kinds of schematics seem reductionist to me.

These reflections on men/women as in Sex and the City are annoying. Men don’t put the seat down, women are complicated, men are all pigs, and women are more emotional... what a bore.

In my opinion, this mini-CD is overflowing with quality. Liv brings out a voice that he had never used back in the day, and the symphonic inserts are, in my view, really well done. They fit perfectly with the swirling rhythm of the drums and the roar of the guitars, giving the impression of a stormy sea swelling.

Well, I didn't like this series either. Simply because the sloth is so ugly that it annoys me every time it appears on screen. Its wide-set eyes, its big teeth, its fur in such a dirty color, and its spitty little voice, bleargh!

@Gasta. More than watered down, there's that kind of stormy glaze. If I listen to storm with my eyes closed, images from an interior design magazine flash through my mind, the album is so "zen." The same goes for this. I don't consider it aseptic, because the glaze feels intentional and not applied out of a lack of inspiration. However, I prefer essential soundscapes like these to the symphonic drift of other gothic bands, like Within Temptation or Sirenia. Not to mention Nightwish, who aren’t exactly gothic, but are playing around a bit too much with the orchestra.

Listening closely, this album is not bad at all; in fact, I’d give it a 3 and 3/4. "Hide and Seek" moved me right away, unlike what happened with the muffled sounds of Fengshui in "Storm." The rest of the album proves to be quite varied in its sounds compared to the previous one. Fewer booming guitars and more cutting ones, sometimes like in "Velvet Darkness," keyboards are more prominent, and the piano is at times monotonous, at other times melancholic. The growl is a very welcome return, by the way.
