She's my ideal woman, indeed. Dressed like that, with her velvety voice and the evocative music she plays...

An embarrassing movie. I was ashamed to be at the cinema due to the vulgarity of this aimless film.

This album, compared to the previous two, has rhythm. And that's no small thing. The polished sounds of Heathen and the valium of Hours hadn't excited me.

"Gothic hues well emphasized by riffs that are never so harsh and almost on the edge of thrash."
Well, I enjoy listening to Nightwish, but they never convey feelings of darkness and violence to me. Their sound always feels like Disney metal.

Right, but can we?! Just mentioning ABBA should earn the album in question another star. Vomit-inducing? De gustibus. If you don’t like certain atmospheres and sounds, just ignore those bands and you’ll avoid ruining your liver.

Well, it doesn’t say anything to me. It talks about misfits, it’s true, who search for another misfit that in their eyes shines with some mythical aura, but who still remains a drunkard, a drug addict, a failure, and whatever else you can throw in. What do the protagonists ultimately arrive at by the end of the book? Nothing. Their life is restless and thus empty, because they never manage to fill it with something lasting (make it clear, I don't mean the triad GodCountryFamily).
Aside from the content, I didn’t like the style either. It has a unique flatness.
Square Enix Final Fantasy XII

The plot wasn't even bad. It was the balance between exploration and story that was missing. Many environments are vast, and it took me hours to finish them while the plot diluted. As for gameplay, subplots, missions, and the control system, I have no complaints.
Robert Musil I Turbamenti del Giovane Törless

A book of incredible dullness. It offers such a bleak view of life that I cannot agree with it in the slightest.
Katheryn Bigelow The Hurt Locker

But why is a film released in 2008 now presented at the Oscars?
James Cameron Avatar

Better an American cliché than the usual European whining and pseudo-existentialist droning about how awful life is for forty-year-olds, how grim the Second World War was, and how petty the human condition is.
