AA.VV. Remastered - Metallica's Master Of Puppets Revisited

But when will this damned metalcore, devoid of any originality and artistic relevance, crawl back into the sewers it came from? I can't take any more of these useless bands that infest the scene, tainting it more with their (ridiculous) image choices than bringing any significant innovation. Sorry for the rant.
Solefald Black for Death: An Icelandic Odyssey, Part II

Very good, both for conveying how Solefald sounds without too many words (not easy) and for the sought-after yet never pompous or redundant parallels. And I can't help but give this album the highest rating, for the extreme ease with which it manages to convey emotions while maintaining the essence of the work from which it was derived.

I appreciate her meticulous and heartfelt work, so I'm giving her a solid 5 out of respect. As for Valo, I wouldn't know what to give; I wouldn't want him to take too many liberties...

Congratulations, a truly well-crafted and well-done review. The album is splendid, touching, and profound. I look forward to the review of the next album, given the unfinished sentence…

I'm sorry, but I really think we're not on the same page. Besides emphasizing what Fallen says, I would add that your review gave me an impression of being artificial, forcedly grandiose. The style you use does not belong to you, and it shows. All these vague philosophical musings come across as almost grotesque in the way you present them, and they certainly do not help to highlight the style, taste, message, and authenticity of this album, which, in my view, has nothing at all to do with warlike or aggressive themes. Instead, I perceive a strong sense of vindication, indeed, of love for one’s own land and traditions, all set to music by someone watching them fade away and expressing their pain, nostalgia, and sense of helplessness because of this. Schizophrenia (?), rage for its own sake (?) are totally absent. In any case, you deserve praise for presenting this record, even though I would prefer that similar works remain hidden, as far away from the "spotlights" as possible. Looking forward to reading you again.

A truly splendid album that highlights how the sensitivity of artists from such backgrounds knows no stylistic or expressive limits. I liked the review; it was delicate and effective, just like the work in question.

I didn’t like the review: awkward syntax, a track by track approach that I don't appreciate, descriptions that, however passionate, tend to verge on the paroxysmal (see "sad drunkenness," which has nothing to do with the message and atmosphere of the album and the genre), and a lack of depth in discussing a work that is deeply connected with what has been and what will be black metal. Nonetheless, I appreciate the choice that at least reveals a tendency to seek out and savor these sounds… even if, with the advent of the internet (I’m speaking broadly, to be clear), everyone can have anything in a short time, skipping that phase of "training" made up of knowledge passed down almost secretly and the consequent serious and almost religious approach to the work in front of them… pardon the impromptu outburst. Anyway, keep working hard and the results will come. Looking forward to reading you again.

Great and well-motivated review. I enjoyed the album even though I'm not a fan of Scandinavian death metal, but I couldn't help but appreciate its compositional quality and the emotional impact that the good Jari brings out. By the way, I had the chance to greet Jari in Milan after the Amon Amarth concert... he seems like an alien!
