Well, my comment counts for less than zero here, given the nickname I have, but I can’t help but recommend it. I can only say that Prove It is a bit below the level of the others in my opinion. The other 7 are stunning. Super-super-super masterpiece.

Great reception, even if I don't agree with it.
My impression is that this is an album that appeals much more to the mind than to the gut.
Metallica put in a lot of craftsmanship, but the ideas have run dry a long time ago.
An album that will make die-hard fans of the band happy, who for a month after the purchase will feel satisfied by this attempt to return to their roots, which for me isn't entirely successful, but their fans won't notice.

Maybe you could have written a bit more about MuSO, but still, good review anyway. The album is fantastic; I prefer Fragile, but of course this is also a high-level album. Perhaps it's missing something to give it a 5, but I happily award it nonetheless.

I don't really appreciate prog, but this one is an amazing record, a masterpiece.

I like Feeder. I don't exactly consider them a great band, and there are many songwriters better than Nicholas, but I really enjoy the mix that Feeder create on this album; I find it damn enjoyable.
Basically a pop record, a nice pop album.
Great review, Grant, but I consider Godzilla a total abortion, really, almost as if it was placed there as a trash joke; I don’t know if you’ve ever had that impression...
You don’t mention the title track, which is one of my favorites, inspired by "Where Is My Mind?" by the Pixies. To me, it's better than "Just The Way I'm Feeling."
Excellent "Summer's Gone." Decent lyrics, perhaps the best of their career.

When I first heard it at 15, it struck me like lightning and I still haven’t recovered.
Alter Bridge Blackbird

Discreet. They are good, the craft is not up for debate. Myles Kennedy, for his part, is an excellent singer.
I’m not convinced, giannirock, that this album reaches any major emotional peaks; in my opinion, at times it's a bit too predictable. Whether it's innovative overall, I would say no; perhaps it’s true that the guys create a blend that is somewhat unique, but it’s clear that they don’t invent anything, and I don't think you believe that either.
In other words: they don’t say anything new but they say it well enough.

Unfolding, are you applying for the role of my persecutor? You give me too much importance. Your dislike distorts every word I write. I think that those who are not as biased against me as you are have understood what I meant. I’m not saying anything as twisted as you think; I simply meant to summarize some of my thoughts about the record (among other things) in just one word, which may have led to misunderstandings. If I had written a review, I would have articulated my thoughts much more elaborately to better describe the various characteristics of the album and communicate my impressions more effectively, using more precise and relevant language. But in the brief comment (written quickly), I deliberately used simpler language in an attempt to convey the essence of my thoughts about the album to any casual internet user curious to know what people are saying about this work by Love (I was, of course, providing my own testimony). It may be that I didn’t do this perfectly, and that’s possible... I’m happy to engage with someone who has never made a mistake in expressing themselves or who has always been perfectly understood while trying to summarize their thoughts. I’ve said everything, and I believe I've clarified as best as I can. Those who want to understand have all the elements to do so (Psychopompe, I believe you’ve understood perfectly). The rest of the objections directed at me can only stem from a disdain for me regardless.

Here they are, more Nazi-fans of the Beatles...
The fact that someone fits into a tradition doesn't mean they are its best custodian.
Talking about music in terms of "utility" is something I've never understood. There is no such thing as useful or non-useful music; a vacuum cleaner can be useful.
Take a shower, it'll clear your head.

Underrated album.
