In my partial ignorance, I allow myself to remind you that we have another gem live right at home. "La Scala" (which is well-reviewed on DeBaser) may not be the Koln Concert, but I loved it almost as much as that.

I agree with the anonymous one, dear Francis. This story about right or left column is tedious. A large part of the DeBaserioti reads indifferently from the right or the left if the artist and the record interest them. Your review, excluding the anonymous comments, has been visited 544 times, commented on 41, and has an enviable average of 4.59. This proves that there are no prejudices. By the way... great review!

Honestly, there was really no need for the fifth review of this album, especially after that excellent one by David Bowie (the reviewer, that is). This one is decent, but it doesn't add much. That the album is a masterpiece and a cornerstone of 90s Italian music, and that it has influenced so many others, etc., etc., there's no need to repeat it anymore for fear of falling into clichés.

I confess, I haven't read it all the way through. I agree with the wrecking crew. You know how to surprise, both positively and negatively—here, positively. We always want you like this. It’s not a five just for the excessive verbosity.
Marco Parente [neve] Ridens

Damn, I mixed up "Neve Ridens," it’s the fault of the Parente who keeps releasing albums with (almost) the same name. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

It's full of typos, you know... Well, it's Sunday morning, so it's understandable.

I was moved by the last sentence (I'm one of those who quotes genres and integrates names abundantly). The review is simple (perhaps overly simplistic) but sincere, and it’s one of those reviews you can only find on DeBaser, which makes me love this site. As for "Closer," many have a "sentimental" attachment to it (myself included), and as far as I'm concerned, I even prefer it to "Unknown Pleasures," without claiming that it is superior.

Generally, cryptic reviews don't excite me, but for "Neve Ridens," it's acceptable, especially when done well like yours. It might have been worth describing the various pieces and the structure of the album in more detail. For example, "Il Posto delle Fragole" deserved to be mentioned.
