Non Voglio Che Clara Dei Cani

Beautiful and inspired the review, wonderful the album. They've kept us waiting a bit (the album was announced over a year ago and new tracks kept coming out), but the wait was worth experiencing. "Gli anni dell'università" brings tears and applause even from stones. One can't help but be grateful to those like De Min, who hold on and push forward despite everything.
The Album Leaf Into The Blue Again

I wouldn’t want to poke the well-known finger in the wound, but the concert was really beautiful last night. Almost two hours for the Album Leaf (but why didn’t they play "Writings on the Wall"?) and The Go Find weren’t bad live either (but who knows why they were relegated to the B-list booth at Magnolia). But chin up, they’ll be back soon (let’s hope)....
Uochi Toki Libro Audio

Ah, the Uochi Toki.. a consolation. Geniuses even live, no matter what some people say. A stylish review, it almost sounds like the lyrics of one of their songs. Kid likes it.

pleasant reading, my dear fellow citizen.. I need to listen to this record again before spring really arrives.
Paolo Benvegnù Le Labbra

Here's another one... just returned home from a little concert of the good Benvegnù at an ARCI club near my house... despite the cramped space, the heat, and the terrible acoustics, he displayed his usual class...

I appreciate more than anything the description of the existential struggles in putting together the pieces of the mixtapes we used to swap in high school.. anyway, the opening track had to (has to) be short, catchy, one of those alternative songs without being pretentious... with Teenage Riot you were sure to strike out: don’t come telling me otherwise, I don’t believe you. If it's true, you should have married her. :-)
Malcolm Middleton Into the Woods

At the time, I didn't mind this little disc.. anyway, it's light years below any work by Arab Strap, who have written some of the most emotionally intense pieces (far from subtle atmospheres) I've ever listened to, without any need for heavy metal guitars...
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

Indeed, Kid appreciates all this vaguely adolescent retro... after all, "I never thought I would come of age."

I missed you, my old friend. These 20 lines opened my heart, just like in the good old days... I'm off to listen, my ears are already itching. Cheers, Kid
P.S. I also greatly appreciated the cultured and refined Brondian quote...
A Toys Orchestra Technicolor Dreams

I join the chorus of praise for both the reviewer and the reviewed... I still have a stronger attachment to their first album, but this one is definitely more mature and perhaps artistically superior... anyway, they are great talents, like few others, who, had they been born in London, would have already been on the cover of NME for a while...
