Joe Satriani Strange Beautiful Music
Voto:
For Satriani, the album of the final turning point: more direct and bluesy compositions, warmer and more personal sounds, well-structured and very personal songs, no ostentatious technicality, feeling turned up to the max and a great desire to play while having fun. It might raise eyebrows among shred purists (and also among those who criticize guitar heroes out of principle), but this is Satch now. And thankfully so! A review that feels a bit too bland and superficial for my tastes.
Joe Satriani Super Colossal
Voto:
Satriani has now made a very clear stylistic choice: he prefers feeling over virtuosity, "simple" and immediate compositions over constructed pieces, and above all, a quest for a sound that is increasingly personal. This album confirms that. It seems a bit strange to see that he was first criticized for being too virtuosic, and then for being not virtuosic enough...
Joe Satriani Flying In A Blue Dream
Voto:
too uneven to be a masterpiece. however, some tracks are truly fantastic.
Pino Scotto Datevi Fuoco (Lo Scotto Da Pagare)
Voto:
I haven't listened to the album, but I feel like critiquing Pino: after all the rants against everything and everyone, making an album with people like J. Ax, Sarcina, or Ruggeri doesn't sit right. But then again, in the end, who the hell cares? :D
Steven Soderbergh Ocean's Eleven
Voto:
A truly horrendous film (especially because it is absurdly pretentious and stupidly self-satisfied) even if, as has been pointed out before, never like the sequel...
AA.VV. The Warriors - The Original Soundtrack Collection
Voto:
Beautiful film and soundtrack.
Alan Sorrenti Aria
Voto:
I'm listening to it now: beautiful album. As for the review, nothing to say except for a bit of excessive bitterness towards Sorrenti's openly commercial turn.
Michael Hedges Taproot
Voto:
A small note on the review: perhaps it would have been better to talk a bit more about the album; in the end, it almost feels like a mini-biography tribute to the poor m.h. In any case, great choice and, above all, great I say!
Mel Gibson Braveheart - Cuore Impavido
Voto:
Perhaps a bit too self-satisfied, but otherwise nothing to say. I would save something else by Gibson, like Air America (beautiful) and The Year of Living Dangerously; for the rest, it has been since Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome that he hasn't really hit the mark...
Sarcofago I.N.R.I.

I don't know the album, but the review is well written. Of course, I've always found satanists amusing since, as someone else has already pointed out, in 99% of cases it means being a loser from the start. In any case, the world is beautiful because it's diverse, so... :D
