Ben Stiller Zoolander
Voto:
Crazy cool movie. The pinnacle of Ben Stiller's gang, which then kind of lost its way by trying too hard to replicate itself. Mugato is an outrageous character, but there are really so many top moments. Like when the blonde says she’s been in withdrawal for two years and Hansel and Zoolander stare at her in disbelief saying, "Are you still alive?!!?!?". I would dare say it's the state of the art of absurdity.

Movies I've never been able to watch in full for a thousand different reasons. What a shame.

I have always considered Stephen King one of the worst writers of all time: every time I read something of his, I was left speechless in front of so much mediocrity and so much self-indulgent writing. But perhaps these are precisely the secrets of his success. I haven't read It so I won't judge it, but the review is well done.
Black Sabbath Master Of Reality

Impressive album, like (almost) all the Sabbath albums up to Born Again.
Deep Purple Live In London

This album is an atomic bomb, a blast, the apotheosis of MkIII, the delirium of omnipotence from Blackmore's genius. Absolutely a must-have and to be listened to to the point of exhaustion.

I didn't mind it either, even though I'm well aware of all the film's limitations. In short, it's a bit like your review :D

Dear Il_Paolo, I've always appreciated you, but this time you completely messed up (to use a language you're fond of).
Alan Moore, Brian Bolland & John Higgins Batman: The Killing Joke
Voto:
@Ghemison, you’re right, there are beautiful differences between the Batman of The Dark Knight and that of Year One, but instinctively I believe that for Miller the definitive Batman is the one from Year One, and this considering a bit of all of Miller's thought. For the rest, I think that in Batman's lucid madness, in this realization of always being on the edge (for better or worse), lies a large part of his charm.
Charles Bukowski Pulp

A minor book for old Uncle Hank. He has definitely written better.
Alan Moore, Brian Bolland & John Higgins Batman: The Killing Joke
Voto:
Sure, because for Americans the normal reaction is that of Miller's Batman, much more fascist and less democratic. But I don't think Moore wants to present Gordon as a "maniac" of legality, quite the opposite. In any case, it can be said that Joker was invented by Moore; on this, there are few doubts.
